20kg Gold Fraud Case: Main Accused Sheikh Wasim Arrested from Islamabad

Police have achieved a major breakthrough in the 20kg gold fraud case by arresting the main accused, Sheikh Wasim, from Islamabad using advanced technology.
According to police sources, the accused had taken a large quantity of gold from several jewelers and later disappeared, causing massive financial losses.
Authorities confirmed that at least 10 cases have been registered against Sheikh Wasim at Ichhra Police Station in Lahore on charges including fraud and breach of trust.
Police officials stated that the suspect kept changing locations to evade arrest, but was eventually traced through modern surveillance and intelligence methods.
Following his arrest, the accused is being shifted to Lahore for further investigation to identify other facilitators involved in the fraud.
Investigators are also working to determine the total amount of gold involved and possible recovery during the ongoing probe.
Law enforcement officials said the accused will be presented before the court after completing initial investigations, while efforts will continue to ensure justice for the affected jewelers.
